Michael E. Williamson, D.M.D.
Dr. Michael E. Williamson is a 1973 graduate of Boaz High School. He has been in private practice since 1985. Dr. Williamson received his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama, Summa Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, graduating with honors in 1977. Roll Tide! He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from UAB School of Dentistry in 1981. Dr. Williamson served in the U.S. Army for four years as a general dentist officer.
Dr. Williamson is an active member of many leading dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, Alabama Dental Association, Fifth District Dental Society (Past President), the Christian Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry (Fellow), and the American Orthodontic Society. He is a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church.
Dr. Williamson enjoys giving back to his community though participation with many local and regional charities. He sits on the Board of Directors for The Great Physician Clinic of Marshall County, and works as a volunteer dentist providing treatment to the uninsured/indigent of Northeast Alabama. He also goes on annual mission trips to Honduras with the Honduras Baptist Dental Mission.
In his spare time, Dr. Williamson is an avid deer and turkey hunter, and enjoys dining out and attending University of Alabama football games with his wife, Debbie. But of course his biggest thrill is being “Pop” to his three grandchildren: Gavin, Allie-Brynn and Mason.
